Leagues Update (1st S13)

Hello everyone,

Welcome to our first Leagues Update for the season.

Here, we'll take a look at all the seven Senior Divisions of the EFA, and give you the latest news from them.

Enjoy!

-----

Premiership

-- Title Contenders --

Great Odin's Ravens F.C. is surprising all pundits by leading the Premiership after the first week, only losing a game so far and getting 30 points after 15 games. Athens Eureka Giants are just 6 points behind with two games less played in 2nd though, and both F. C. Porto Kenshin and last years Champion Team Kolbotn have a higher Projected Points amount. It promises to be another tough battle at top!

The battle for the eight UFFA spots is raging as well, and it will be impossible at this stage to rule anybody out - the coming week will be crucial!

-- Relegation Battle --

Several clubs involved in the discussion already, but a few stand out more than others. Mutantes Raivosos is clear bottom with 6 points after 10 games - but they are just 5 ponts behind Krokstadelva United who holds 16th, the last surviver spot, at the moment. Dragon team, Salford Reds and last season's top side Hi Standard FC are the current relegation teams, but Phantoms, with 14 points from 16 games, will need to watch out as well.

-- Worth Mentioning --

Athens Eureka Giants have scored a massive 29 goals in their opening 13 games.

F. C. Porto Kenshin's squad has an avarage of 7.18 after 10 games - incredibly high.

Championship

-- Title Contenders --

As it stands, we have two Swedish teams battling it out for the Title, both promoted from the Division One last season. Mampa Miners are leading the way in the - as usual - very tight Championship, after amounting 36 points after 19 games. Totta FC is in 2nd, with 5 points behind and as many games played, and Sporting Corrick currently holds the last direct Play-Off place. However, crouching tigers and REDACES have played four and five games less respectively, and aren't far behind, and will want to have their say in the coming weeks.

-- Relegation Battle --

In the bottom, we have four teams within 3 points in what promises to be one of the tightest relegation dramas in a long time. Eintracht Mind is bottom with 6 points after 8 games, and the remaining relegation spots are filled by last season's top side White Rose (7), Caleta FC (8) and Dynamo Sodtherest (8). Maltastars is the team to pass for them, who has recieved 9 points after their opening 15 games.

-- Worth Mentioning --

Wild Wandering Wallabies FC has only lost two games so far, which is the best record in the Championship.

Firenze are consistent; they win or lose - 5 wins and 5 losses in their opening 10 games.

Eintracht Mind have, despite being bottom of the table, conceded the least goals in the league, 9.

-----

Division One

-- Title Contenders --

The Ides of March are looking to bounce up again after their relegation last season, and they are leading on as many points - 29 - as 2nd place CF Barcelona, but with two games less played. Rhystic United is two points behind the pack, and Peen Dogs Terriers - who only have played 13 points so far - is the last realistic title candidate as things stand. The battle for the Play-Off spots looks to be fierce, with 8 teams within 5 points for the three remaining places.

-- Relegation Battle --

The Division 1 is so tight, that some of those that are dreaming for promotion, might be in the Relegation battle if they lose a few games in quick succession. Inter Blues FC and Steptoes Ghosts are at the bottom with 9 points each, with Wandsworth Wanderers a point ahead and Matosinhos SC (10) occupy the last spot as it stands,

-- Worth Mentioning --

Sporting Lesbian has only lost two games in this division where everybody beats everyone.

-----

Division Two

-- Title Contenders --

Rhystic Team have, after finishing 12th in the Division Two last season, been performing sensationally in the beginning, amassing a total of 27 points in their opening 12 games. Newly promoted Athens United FC are two points behind, but have played two more games than Rhystic. S.C.BEJECAS has the last direct promotion place, but Spartak Aston deserves a mention as well, as they have played less games than the other top sides, and could move up with a few wins.

And below that, we have 8 teams within 5 points (sounds familiar?) that are all dreaming about grabbing one of those Play-Off places.

-- Relegation Battle --

Stanton Dynamo are bottom with 4 points after 9 games, followed by Dukes Park Dons(6 ), Cookies Monsters (7) and Trailblazers (8 ). FC EAGLE (10) in 14th have played more games than most of the teams below, and this battle is far from over.

-- Worth Mentioning --

Cookies Monsters has, despite sitting in relegation, conceded the least amount of goals, 4.

Hamiltons Hammers is the dirtiest team in the Division, with 234 fouls in their opening 18 games.

Spartak Aston have 9 games without losing, and are looking up in the Table.

Top Youth:

Farley Alvarez, 7.15 over 9 games - S.C.BEJECAS

-----

Division Three

-- Title Contenders --

Cardiff Flames are leading the way, after getting 31 points in their opening 14 games. Brighton and Hove Albion FC in 2nd are 6 points and one game behind, and Pompey PFC are 3rd with 22 points, but with less games played than the other teams.

Behind them, we have several teams that still has a chance for Direct promotion, but it's anyones guess who grabs the four Play-Off places.

-- Relegation Battle --

Steel City Owls have gone off to a poor start, not winning a game yet and acheving 3 draws to have 3 points after 13 games. Canucks VFC (7) and last season's Division Four Runner-Up Barwell Bears FC (9) hold the other spots, while we have three teams with 11 points - Harchester FC, Zoetermeer FC and Real Manchester United F.C.. To say the least, it will be a fierce survival battle.

-- Worth Mentioning --

Odem Academicals takes consistency to a new level, with 5 wins, 5 draws and 5 losses.

Brighton and Hove Albion FC:'s offensive strategy has given them 28 goals so far, best in the league.

Pompey PFC:team#310> have conceded the least goals in the division; 7 after 11 games.

-----

Division Four

-- Title Contenders --

Pauli Bhoys FC are leading their way in this very tight Division, where "only" 21 points are seperating 1st and 16th apart, after getting 30 points from their opening 14 fixtures. GA United in 2nd are two points behind but have played one more game, and 3rd placed Freedom Utd are 3rd with 27 points from 14 games. Rapier FC in 4th, with 26 points from 13 games, will hope to get involved as well.

As for the remaining Play-Off spots, as it stands we have four teams within 4 points for the remaining three places.

-- Relegation Battle --

In this incredible tight league without any true mid-table side as it stands, almost half the FA are worrying about their survival as it stands. Dynamo Kev is bottom with 9 points from 13 games, Pickie Park Poachers at 15th is another point up with 8 games played, huddersfield town terriers - who have left the GW - are another point up, and then we have four teams with 12 points, and the last team on the relegation spot as it stands is Grantchester United due to the goal difference.

-- Worth Mentioning --

Freedom Utd have scored 29 goals in 14 games, the best record by far in the division.

pearce' people are still in the Play-Off hunt mainly, despite recieving 4 red cards so far.

will swamys 11 are left wondering how their position would be in the table if they hadn't run offside for 175 times so far.

-- Top Performers --

Most assists:

Armando Valencia, 8 assists in 14 games - Freedom Utd

Division Five

-- Title Contenders --

FC Excelsior are in command in Division Five, after winning 10 of their opening 14 and collecting a total of 32 points. 2nd placed SoccerRama F.C are two points behind, but have played a game more. Little Liverpool FC in 3rd will be relishing their chances, as they have only played 8 so far, with an impressive record of 7W 1D.

Places 4-6 seems to be in control, so the battle for the final Play-Off spot should be fierce.

-- Relegation Battle --

No relegation in Division Five! But if we expand another Division, up to the bottom four might get relegated.

-- Worth Mentioning --

SoccerRama F.C's secret to success seems to be their corners - 5 goals in 15 is impressive.

StCFC has only conceded 6 goals so far, and will hope to keep the team stable in the future.

Little Liverpool FC are on a roll, with 6 consecutive league wins.

-- Top Performers --

Most goals:

Christian Benteke, 12 goals in 14 games - Sporting Leonidas

-- Title Race --

In a title race where none of the two top sides looked like they wanted to win the title, Pompey PFC clinched it in the end - thanks to Barwell Bears FC's end of season form, where they didn't win any of their last 7 league games. If the league had contained more games, it might've ended differently - TCASPS Clube de Futbol, Gerber FC and Sedge City all had great form in the end, but the first two clinched the last promotion spots.

-- Relegation Battle --

Anorthosis Economides Kickers and Dynamo Kev have looked destined for the drop a while now, and that's how it turned out as well. Little Aston Villa FC and WBB Football Clubwill join them in the Division Five, and Arsenal FC's late-season form was their lifesaver.

Cups Update (1st S12)

Hello everyone,

As the season end is approaching, the same goes for the domestic Cup competitions.

They have all entered the Semi-Final stages, and the teams there deserves some attention I'd say. :)

Enjoy!

-----

EFA Cup

In the most prestigious cup in the FA, one of the Semi-Finals have already been played. All BiDoNs Fc defeated Ariadni FC in a mid-table EFA Premiership battle, after winning on Penalties. The other Semi is also contested between two Premiership sides, as Team Kolbotn host Linton Brown AFC to decide who faces Ali BiDoNs in the first ever EFA Cup final.

---

EFA League Cup

The League Cup has offered many upsets this season, as only one Premiership side progressed to the semi's - Team Kolbotn - who faced Championship side AFC Owls of Laughter in the first Semi. And incredibly, Owls of Laughter won it on Penalties - and not unfairly either, as they were arguably the better side in the 0-0 draw. They will face fellow Championship side Sporting Corrick in the final, after two late goals defeated Rhystic United, a top side from the Division Two.

---

EFA Elite Cup

It's three Premiership and one Championship team left in the Elite Cup. StrictlyButterSideUp takes on Eastlands FC, in a battle between two top sides from the Prem and Champ. F. C. Porto Kenshin, 3rd in the Prem, will hope to make use of his home advantage against mid-table Linton Brown AFC.

---

EFA Intermediate Cup

In this Cup for sides in the Division One to Three, we had an All-Division One and All-Division Two semi-final. Rhystic United, knocked out in the Semi of the League Cup, made one better here, as they beat Armpit Tigers with 2-0. In the other semi, crouching tigers faced fellow Division One team Lucianos Athletic, and the latter won after a goal from Dawid Janczyk.

---

EFA Challenge Cup

In this Cup for sides in the Division Four and Five, we had two ties between both FA's in the semi's. Division Five side T J Milan disposed of Zoetermeer FC after a Penalty Shootout, and will face either Stonehouse FC or Rapier FC in the final.

Leagues Update (2nd S12)

Hello everyone,

Welcome to our 2nd Update on the EFA Leagues for the season. :)

The end of the season is approaching - good luck to all of you in your respective battles for glory and survival!

Enjoy!

-----

Premiership

-- Title Contenders --

Nags Head Rovers are still sitting top of the Prem, in a Title Race that is looking tougher for everyday. They lead with 7 points ahead of King Krimson FC in 2nd, but having played 5 more games than most of the challengers, many are hoping to get a run of wins to tip the race in their favour. According to the Projections, already mentioned King Krimson (2nd), as well as F. C. Porto Kenshin (3rd), and Team Kolbotn (5th) looks the most probable challengers, but we're not going to write off Hi Standard FC's (8th) chances.

The battle for the remaining UFFA places (1-4 to Gold Cup, 5-8 to Silver Cup, 9-10 to Bronze Cup) is fearce as well - since at least 15 of the Prem's teams are in with real chances of a top 10 finish, I'm not going to go into it with more detailed info - you know who you are, and good luck!

-- Relegation Battle --

Phantoms has surprised everyone by climbing from a 20th to 11th place in the past week. Thelwall Rangers is the new bottom side, and they are 13 points from safe ground. RockSteady FC is more close, laggging by 7 points, and the remaining sides in a relegation spot - Aletheia FCand Mutantes Raivosos - are even closer. But considering how tight the Prem is, if Tyrosquad FC in 9th gets a poor run of result, they run a realistic chance of relegation - that sums up everything I guess! The quality in this league really is fierce. ;)

-- Worth Mentioning --

Linton Brown AFC is, along with leaders Nags Head Rovers, the only Prem side to concede less goals than matches played, despite "only" sitting on 10th spot.

King Krimson FC has 6 games without a defeat - will he be able to build on this?

Nags Head Rovers' success is apparently built on dirty play; they've commited the most fouls in the league, 392.

-- Top Performers --

Most goals:

Karim Benzema, 28 goals / 26 games (London Rock City)

Most assists:

Adrian Gavric, 13 assists / 26 games (Phantoms)

Highest avarage rating:

Giovani dos Santo:player#5666822?3997024862>, 7.52 over 23 games (Team Kolbotn)

Top Youth:

Petr Mezlik, 7.17 over 30 games (Nags Head Rovers)

Championship

-- Title Contenders --

Leaders AFC Owls of Laughter are looking good for the title, having 59 points from their opening 29 games, and winning 18 of them. Salford Reds still has it all in their own hands though, having played 4 games less and being 10 points behind. Great Odin's Ravens F.C. are a further two points behind, and also has played 4 games less, and are thus the last realistic title candidate. Sporting Corrick in 4th houses the last promotion spot, but Band of Brothers and White Rose - 5th and 6th respesctively - both fancy their chances of taking that spot. Worth adding is that an amazing 5 (!) further teams has a chance of that last spot, if they manage to go on a winning streak.

-- Relegation Battle --

Amazingly, last week's bottom team, Croxley Eagles, doesn't look doomed for relegation anymore - they're 18th now, a single point from survival. The teams behind, Sporting Lesbian and REDACES, have contact as well. Maltastars completes the bottom 4, but after that, we have 4 teams within two points.

-- Worth Mentioning --

Sporting Lesbian has only drawn two of their 25 games.

AFC Owls of Laughter's success is obviously based on creative play; they dribble the most of all teams, 30.28 times per match.

Steptoes Ghosts has recieved 9 pens; that's 5 more than 2nd place!

-- Top Performers --

Most goals:

Gary Glen, 23 goals / 27 games (Band of Brothers)

Most assists:

Bello Kofarmata, 16 assists / 29 games (AFC Owls of Laughter)

Highest avarage rating:

Bello Kofarmata, 7.47 over 29 games (AFC Owls of Laughter)

Top Youth:

Luciano Parreira, 7.16 over 26 games (Croxley Eagles)

-----

Division One

-- Title Contenders --

Mampa Miners have got a 7 point lead in top after 24 played games, ahead of crouching tigers. Fellow swedish team Totta FC is in 3rd, and the dark horse of the title race - Eintracht Mind, who has played 5 games less than Mampa - are 4th, 9 points after. Caleta FC in 6th, who have only played 20 games, also hope to challenge for at least promotion - Lucianos Athletic in 5th have played two games more, so promotion is possible still.

-- Relegation Battle --

Cottingham Rangers have gone from 17th, with only 7 points and a single win, up to 9th, and a total on 8 wins in their last weeks - nice achievement! Stanton Dynamo are still bottom of the table though, and are 10 points away from safety. S.C.BEJECAS, Wandsworth Wanderers and Botha United make up the current relegated teams - but they are only 1-2 points away from Inter Blues FC.

-- Worth Mentioning --

Peen Dogs Terriers and Swavesey Island FC have gone 4 games without losing.

Lucianos Athletic have the best Goal Difference in the league - but it's only 13!

Mampa Miners have scored 9 goals from indirect freekicks - the secret to their success?

-- Top Performers --

Most goals:

Febian Brandy, 16 goals / 22 games (Totta FC)

Most assists:

David Bentley, 9 assists / 11 games (Cowderys Lillywhites)

Highest avarage rating:

Division Two

-- Title Contenders --

Ragnarok FC are top of the table with 46 points after 23 games, and a massive 45 goals scored. Ipswich Rangers FC finds themselves two points behind in 2nd, but as they have played 4 more games, it will be tough to snatch the title. Melchester Forest, in 5th, probably fancies their chances - they have played 22 games, and are 5 points behind. Rhystic United, in 3rd, is the closest challenger after that. Last weeks leader, Armpit Tigers, have dropped too many points since to have a realistic chance, but still find themselves in 4th. Besides that, there's probably a four further teams who fancies their chances of grabbing one of the four promotion places.

-- Relegation Battle --

Funky Munkeys FC have won 3 games since last week, and this means that last place has been passed on to Bushby Babes. Canucks VFC and Steel City Owls complete the bottom four, but are only 2 points behind Aston United and Aston Village. Canuck in particular will hope that their four games in hand will make a difference.

-- Worth Mentioning --

Ipswich Rangers FC have added one red card since last time - 4 in total now...

Trailblazers have drawn the most games in the league, 12.

acethomson has won 6 games in a row!

Division Three

-- Title Contenders --

Queens Park Stone Age lead the way with 41 points in an extremly tight group, where the Top 3 are within one point of each other, all having played 20 games. Athens United FC and Cookies Monsters are 2nd and 3rd respectively, both having 40 points and being sepereated by goal difference. Real Manchester United F.C. in 4th are 6 points behind the top at 4th, with Pasties n Cider FC a further point behind, but a game in hand. A lot is sure to happen as the season is drawing to a close in Division Three.

-- Relegation Battle --

pearce' people haven't been able to win since the last update, and find themselves bottom now. Derby County AFC and NGHC Casuals have got their first wins now though, but are still 15th and 14th respectively. Cardiff Flames has the last relegation spot, but is only two points after Pickie Park Poachers.

-- Worth Mentioning --

Cookies Monsters' success seems to build on a solid defense - only 14 conceded in 20 is mightly impressive.

Pasties n Cider FC has scored the most corner goals so far, 8.

Athens United FC have gone 9 games unbeaten - if they keep this up, the title should be close.

Division Four

-- Title Contenders --

Barwell Bears FC have overtaken the lead in Division Four, with 48 points from 22 games. Pompey PFC have played one less game, and are one point behind in 2nd - and it looks like these two will battle it out for the title, unless Sedge City in 3rd, 7 points away from the top, wins the most of their remaining 8 games. TCASPS Clube de Futbol in 4th is the last current promoted side, but 3 teams are are within 3 points of him.

-- Relegation Battle --

In a very tight relegation battle (except for the hopeless bottom team, Anorthosis Economides Kickers) 7 teams have a viable chance of relegation. Little Aston Villa FC, Dynamo Kev (who hadn't won a game yet last week - won four now, nice job!) and Lincoln FC make up the current teams, but they're all at least 5 points from FC Bradford, in 9th. Will be an exciting fight.

-- Worth Mentioning --

As mentioned, half the FA is in a relegation fight. Should be very ugly!

Sedge City has scored the most goals, 39.

Pompey PFC haven't lost an Away game this season, winning 9 and drawing 1.

Barwell Bears FC have 15 games without losing - that's the best record by far.

-- Top Performers --

Division Five

-- Title Contenders --

Freedom Utd is still leading since last week, and now has 59 points from 28 games. huddersfield town terriers are 6 points behind in 2nd, and will hope to get on a streak in the end to catch up. Grantchester United is probably most interested in keeping hold of their promotion place, that is being threathened by AFC Elite in 4th who are only a point behind.

Stonehouse FC, Passionate Black Eagles F.C., Little Liverpool FC and MONAVFC are the teams battling out for the Play-Off places that places 4-7 get.

-- Relegation Candidates --

No teams relegated from this Division, unless we expand and get a Division 6! In that case, up to the bottom 8 might get relegated - so if you teams in the lower regions felt like you didn't have anything to fight about right now, well, I hope I've given you an incentive. ;)

-- Worth Mentioning --

Stonehouse FC: has only conceded an amazing tally of 13 goals in 26 games.

Wesley's Wanderers has got 5 red cards so far this season.

Freedom Utd's secret seems to be corners - 11 scored so far.

-- Top Performers --

Most goals:

Diego Souza, 22 goals / 27 games (Passionate Black Eagles F.C.)

Most assists:

Thiaguinho, 10 assists / 23 games (Pauli Bhoys FC)

EFA in UFFA (1st S12)

Hello everyone,

This is a round-up of how our UFFA entrants are doing.

Do we dare hope for EFA's first title - or titles - in the UFFA this season? :)

Enjoy!

--- Gold Cup ---

In Group B, Cardiff United are crashing out after 5 defeats in their opening 5 games. But with a group consisting of 3 of the GW's best teams, it was always going to be hard for Neil Robert's side, who will be hoping for a result in their last game.

In Group C, Team Kolbotn and StrictlyButterSideUp are living in different worlds. Kolbotn has 13 points from their opening 5 games, and have thus qualified for the knockout stage, while SBSU are out with 4 points from as many games. They will have to cheer up by the fact that they're leading the EFA Prem at the moment!

In Group D, King Krimson FC and Linton Brown AFC are having problems with two sides from CFA. Linton Brown has lost their opening 5 games, and are thus eliminated, but King Krimson has a chance to overtake Tycoon Gunners if they win their internal fixture at the end.

In Group G, we find 3 EFA sides - Ariadni FC, Hi Standard FC and Thelwall Rangers. Ariadni is leading with 10 points from 4 games, and look set to qualify for the knockouts, while Thelwall Rangers - bottom of the EFA Prem as it stands - haven't been able to emulate their AEFA form last season, when they finished 3rd in the Prem - they're bottom with 1 point as it stands. Hi Standard will hope to squeeze past XEFA side Zigire in the end, but that won't be easy, as they have played one more game and have the same amount of points.

--- Silver Cup ---

In Group B, Tyrosquad F.C. are having a tough time against two MLFA clubs, being bottom with 0 points from 3 games.

In Group C, it looks like London Rock City and Phantoms will battle it out for the 2nd, and final, Last 16 spot. Rapid Pitesti have won all their games - both vs. London Rock - while London Rock have won the only games Phantoms have played. Phantoms will thus hope to beat London Rock, and snatch a point from Rapid, in order to qualify. Being a bottom side in the Prem though, not many would fancy their chances!

In Group D, Tupton FC have qualified for the Last 16, in a group that has finished. 7 points in 4 games did the trick.

In Group Group E, RockSteady FC needed a draw in their last game, against Davos United, but fell 3-5 at home, and are thus unfortunately out of it.

In Group G, F. C. Porto Kenshin has practically qualified, as Carlos' side has got 7 points from their opening 3 games.

In Group H, Athens Eureka Giants' last game vs. dream diamonds promises drama - if dream diamonds win with two or more goals vs. Athens, they win the group. Both teams have already qualified however, so in the end, it's all about pride.

--- Cup Winners' Cup ---

Queens Park Stone Age have knocked out Sacramento Forest F.C. after winning 3-2 on aggregate in the first round.

AFC Owls of Laughter have knocked out Toronto F.C. after winning 2-1 on aggregate in the first round.

Lucianos Athletic have knocked out Staple Hill Centurions after winning 2-1 on aggregate in the first round.

Little Aston Villa FC lost their opening leg against Papagoias do Rio with 1-0 in the first round.

Dynamo Sodtherest lost in the opening round after losing 4-0 on aggregate vs. Millsy Crusaders.

Caleta FC have it all to play for, after drawing 0-0 against Ajax Trees in the first leg.

--- Other UFFA Competitions ---

I will follow those more closely towards the end. This includes the Game World Cup, Grass Root Cup, World Youth Cup, and Game World Youth Cup.

Hope you enjoyed this update. :)
